I will start things off in the forum. What is the best Thai restaurant, any restaurant here in Wilmington? My vote is Indochine for Thai.
UPDATE! I got a great suggestion from Steven Harrell to put up a poll of all the current restaurant picks below, and then vote, so here is a link I would you all to go to and cast your vote!

Caprice Bistro, downtown on Market St. Hands down some of the best food in town, and $5 bar menu upstairs from 5-8! Gourmet on a budget!
I agree - Catch is awesome! Just have to get there between something like 11-2, though I heard hours may be changing a while back.

Love Double Happiness too! Gotta tell ya, though...THe best kept secret is Catch 22 on Princess...intimate and Great food! prepare to eat at the bar, or one of the 2 Covetted 2 tops :) great date spot!
Lately with it being cold, I crave good soup... my favorite places for that are Sweet & Savory, Panera Bread, NOFO, and Temptations! mmm...
Circa is my absolute favorite. Also similar, and owned by the same person, is Boca Bay near Wrightsville Beach. Both have tapas-style dishes. The owner also has a restaurant at the forum near Mayfaire called Osteria Cochetti (spelling?). Delicious!

Circa 1922, 8 N. Front St., 762-1922. www.circa1922.com. Circa 1922 is home to tapas-style dining and a wine bar in historic downtown Wilmington. Circa 1922 captures the spirit of tapas: fresh, exquisitely presented and highly creative small plates. A 12-bottle custom cruvinet keeps our wines by the glass consistently fresh and true to taste or choose from an eclectic international selection of wines by the bottle. After-work tapas specials, weekly sushi specials and a 3-course prix fixe menu make Circa 1922 a popular downtown destination.
I think Wilmington has some of the best-eating of any city I've lived.

If I want to eat fancy, I break out the Open Table app ( http://www.opentable.com ) on my iphone, check available reservations and reserve. Bridge Tender ( http://www.thebridgetender.com ) probably has the best outside summer fancy atmospheres. Boca Bay is also awesome during the summer (I don't recommend sitting inside. Kinda boring and stuffy).

Indochine rocks! It rocks so much in fact, that you'll usually have to wait a long time for a table. But what's the big deal. You get to social with social with a tasty drink in hand in an awesome atmosphere.

If you're dressed down and want to relax with friends near the water and have some brewskies, I think Dockside is the best. If you own a boat, you can cruise with up to the restaurant by water.

Ty, you should put up a poll to see which restaurant is 3rd Street Plaza's favorite, then we could all meet there and take over the place!
Glad that Panera is here. Love the Egg Souffle's that they have for breakfast!!!

Well don't forget Front Street Brewery. Great location for going to and from other downtown Wilmington places and events, but worth the trip itself. Incredibly low prices, great atmosphere, and dependably good food. Freshly brewed beer, too. FSB is a member of www.3rdstreetplaza.com so that's cool, plus they have a kicking website - www.frontstreetbrewery.com. Full disclosure - I'm biased, but hey, you asked!

Have any of you have try the Sombrero Azul? It is located at the Market Place Dr. if you go there try the "Pupusas" it is a Salvadorean specialty, there are delicious.
Flaming Amy's Bowl. They give you a bowl with which you get to choose your choice of fresh vegetables, brown or white rice, and one of a variety of nifty sauces. My favorite is the Thai Peanut sauce. The best part? It's all you can eat. Check it out behind the old Dinner Theater at Long Leaf Mall.

Red Robin. A dozen or so gourmet burgers. Need I say more? If you don't know where it is, it's in Mayfaire off Military Cutoff.

Andy's Burgers & Cheese-steaks. This 50's sock hop style restaurant offers a nostalgic atmosphere with some of the best darn burgers, frozen custard, and servers in town.
I must agree that Indocine is the best for Thai food in Wilmington. I like Wrightsville Grille for a family oriented type restaurant. I have family coming from Wisconsin soon and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good seafood restraurant food-wise as well as price-wise.
I've never heard of Jessamine, I will look up the location. Do you love it?

Indochine is pretty tasty. Have you ever been to Jessamine?
This isn't a Thai restaurant, but I went to The Black Sea Grill on Front Street last night and was blown away. Reasonable prices and outstanding food. Turkish restarant, cross between Greek and Middle Eastern. Very nice atmophere, great and prompt service. Check it out!
