Carolina Mens Baseball Begins “Spring Training” in Preparation for 2010 Season

The CMBL’s "Spring Training" kicked off with an excellent Sunday of baseball. The new players and upper division returnees had a day of hitting and fielding - just enjoying playing in the sun at Myrtle Grove MS. The League’s rallying cry of “Let’s play hardball!” was definitely in the air. The action is now up on You Tube – search Carolina Mens Baseball League to view.
The Red Division players practiced up at Castle Hayne Park and enjoyed reacquainting themselves with their teammates. We were blessed by the return of Red Sox' Brian Cardiero after his health issues . rian returned to the mound wearing a new Papelbon jersey and throwing aspirins. Welcome back!
There is still time to register for the regular season which opens on April 11th. Interested players are encouraged to join us at Myrtle Grove MS, 901 Piner Road for “Spring Training” starting at 1pm each Sunday in March. It looks like there will be 14 teams competing in the Carolina Mens Baseball League this season. Team assignments for new players and the schedule for pre-season games in the latter part of March are being formulated and will be announced shortly. Become a fan of the League on Facebook and get the latest updates.
