Carolina Mens Baseball Opens Registration for 2011 Wood Bat Baseball Season

Shake off that winter rust and maybe lose a few pounds. This is your chance to be a baseball player again. The Carolina Mens Baseball League is now accepting registrations for its 2011 wood bat baseball season for adults 18+, 28+ and 48+. The League is dedicated to providing the opportunity for players of all skill levels to recapture the joy of playing baseball in a competitive yet friendly environment.
“Spring Training” practices open to all players will be held every Sunday at 1 pm at Myrtle Grove MS, 901 Piner Road, Wilmington. Individuals, partial teams and teams welcome. No cuts, no pressure, just playing for the love of the game.
Since its inaugural season in 2008, the Carolina Mens Baseball League has grown to be the area’s premier baseball league for adults. With teams in Wilmington and Jacksonville, the Carolina Mens Baseball League is planning to have between 16 and 20 teams playing baseball in southeastern North Carolina. New Hanover County and the City of Wilmington provide baseball fileds for League play. Godwin Stadium is among the venues used by the League. In addition, the Onslow County Parks and Recreation Department and the Carolina Mens Baseball League have announced that the recreational wood bat baseball league for adults will be playing at Stump Sound Park and possibly Richland/Steeds Park starting in April. Games will be played primarily on Sunday afternoons from April 4th through October.
