No More "ticking" on Front Street!
Hello Everyone,
Being new to Wilmington, everything is special to me. My heart is breaking with the thought that the Kingoff Clock will be leaving downtown. Yes, since 1919 the clock proudly stood on Front Street with the exception of a few run ins with mis- directed drivers. Kingoff is moving to an area near the Independence Mall and the clock is going too. I cannot blame them for taking the "treasure" with them. But, can we do something to change their mind about moving?? Can we create a new "VINTAGE" landmark? Can we talk to a founding stone business about staying. Let's chat..

Oh, that is sad news indeed! The clock and store and an integral part of Front Street's landscape. I can't blame them for leaving either though. Downtown does not seem particularly friendly for "retail".
