Whenever I go to a restaurant, I always want to order the spinach artichoke dip so I knew I had to learn to make it at home. My main concern was finding a recipe that didn't involve mayonnaise because I despise it. This dip is great to take to parties or holidays, I have gotten a lot of complements on it.

Ingredients:

4 cloves garlic (or a couple spoons of minced garlic depending on how much you like garlic)
1 (10 oz.) pkg frozen chopped spinach
1 (14 oz.) can artichoke hearts drained & chopped (I cut off the icky bottom parts)
1 (10 oz.) container Alfredo style pasta sauce
1 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/3 cup grated Parmesan
1/2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened (I buy the reduced fat to offset the Alfredo)

Directions:

1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2)In an 8x8 inch baking dish, combine garlic, spinach, artichoke hearts, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese and cream cheese.

3) Cover and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until cheeses are melted and bubble. Serve warm.
I usually serve this with those little toast rounds, pita chips, or tortilla chips. I have a tiny little crock pot I like to put some in if I am taking it somewhere. I set it on low and it just keeps it warm and melty.
